Lawrence Hall in Lawrenceville is a modern food hall with multiple dining stalls and a bar serving up a variety of cuisine styles, drinks, and desserts. The two-story space is a historic building from the late 1800s, and lots of the character of the space was preserved in the remodel.

With QR-code system for ordering both food and drinks from the comfort of your table (or directly from the vendors if you so choose), combined with the variety of food choices and the large space, this spot a great option for everyone- from solo visitors to group outings!

Lawrence Hall Hits All the Right Food Hall Notes

Lawrence Hall

We've been to Lawrence Hall several times now, and we are definitely fans. First of all, the space itself is gorgeous with high ceilings, exposed brick, and huge wooden beams. We also love the layout of the space – the four food stalls are all adjacent to each other on one side, with the bar on the opposite side of the hall. There is a low wall between the food ordering area and the rest of the dining room, meaning that you won't have people waiting in line encroaching upon your dining space.

There's also plenty of seating, with lots of options for larger groups including an upstairs area with even bigger tables than are on the first floor. The few times we have visited, we haven't had any trouble finding seats even during peak hours.

Get Loaded Burgers

Upon opening, the food vendors included Toma (Italian pastas, sandwiches, focaccia pizzas); La Palapa (Mexican); Loaded (creative corn dogs, smashburgers, fried chicken); Cuddy's Soul Food (barbecue meats and sides); and Leona's (homemade ice cream and ice cream sandwiches).

The hall runs the bar, which features numerous local draft beers, wine by the glass, and a solid craft cocktail list. We like that for cocktails, there's an option in the QR ordering system to select the specific brand of spirit that you want in the drink (with a corresponding price). So many of the classics were kind of like a build-your-own cocktail where you can enjoy your preferred spirit as the base!

Leona's Scoop Shop

Ordering is simple enough, with QR codes on each table that are linked to the table number. Once you've scanned the code you can easily order from any of the vendors including the bar, and the food or drinks are delivered right to your table. If you have questions about menu items you can also walk up to any of the stalls to order in person, too (something that I appreciate as I have a food allergy).

Get Loaded and Lawrence Hall Bar

We have tried food from just about every vendor, and they all bring something different to the table. A couple of highlights for us have been the jerk chicken plate at Cuddy's, and the Drunken Goat loaded fries from Loaded. We're also ecstatic that Leona's has a brick-and-mortar here, as we have been devouring their ice cream sandwiches for years at numerous bars and restaurants throughout the city- the scoops are equally as delicious as their sandwiches.

There's just something about food halls that appeals to the way we like to eat – they're a great way to sample a little bit of everything, and to pace your meal the way you want to by spacing out your ordering. We think Lawrence Hall pretty much got everything right, from the selection of food vendors, to the layout, design, and the service – it's a spot we will return to time and time again!

Lawrence Hall is located at 4609 Butler Street in Lawrenceville.
